No Hard Drive included. Supports up to 12 hot-plug LFF (3,5") or SFF (2.5") SATA/SAS. Storage backplane is wired for SATA3 6Gb/s or SAS 6Gb/s which means the maximum output for each individual drive is ~550 MB/s regardless how fast are the drives chosen.

Drive bays 1-8 are connected point to point to controller and the last 4 bays are connected through an expander, which halves the maximum throughput (~550MB/s) of the these bays as well bays 5-8 when are used simoultaneously
